Privacy Policy

This policy covers retix.io and the Retix game. It is written to be read, not to be survived. Retix is operated by retix, based in South Korea, and reachable at contact@retix.io.

What Retix collects

An account is created with Google or Apple sign-in. From that, Retix receives the email address, display name and provider identifier made available by the provider. Apple may provide a private relay address. Retix never sees or stores your Google or Apple password, and there is no Retix password to store, because password sign-in is not enabled.

You can also play as a guest without any account. A guest is a token stored in your own browser. It carries no email address and no name from anywhere else.

The game records each match while you play. It stores kills, deaths, assists and headshots. It also records objective credit, active time, mode, map and result. Those numbers become gold and XP. Your account holds your display name, level and gold balance. It also holds unlocked weapons, upgrade levels and custom skins. Friends, clan membership and party history stay with the account.

Our servers keep ordinary technical logs, which include IP addresses, request times and error traces. They exist to keep the service running and to investigate abuse.

Analytics

Retix uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and modes people use. The measurement identifier is G-729FV36K28. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser, typically named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code, and reports aggregate usage back to us.

We do not use Google Analytics to identify individuals, and we do not upload your Retix account identifier into it.

The Android app uses AppsFlyer to distinguish organic from advertising-driven installs and to record the media source, campaign, ad group, ad, AppsFlyer device identifier, Retix player identifier, registration, first completed match and verified purchase revenue. Retix also receives AdMob's per-impression revenue estimate and stores it with the guest or player identifier. We use these records to measure campaign retention and gross lifetime value.

Advertising

On the web, Retix intends to show advertising supplied by Google AdSense. When that begins, Google and its partner vendors may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and in some regions to personalise them.

On native Android and iOS builds, Retix uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) when advertising is enabled. AdMob may process device identifiers, approximate device information, ad interactions and consent choices to serve and measure ads. On iOS, Retix requests App Tracking Transparency permission when required; if you decline, advertising may be limited or non-personalised under platform and provider rules.

Google's own description of how it uses information from sites that use its services is published at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can review and change your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of personalised advertising from participating vendors at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, personalised advertising requires your consent, and you will be asked for it before any advertising cookie is set. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

What is stored in your browser

Retix keeps a small amount of data in your browser's local storage so the game remembers you between visits. None of it is sent anywhere except as described elsewhere in this policy.

• A guest or session token, so you are not signed out on every visit.
• Your chosen language, audio settings and gameplay settings.
• Your last mode, map, class and bot difficulty, so the home screen opens where you left it.
• Whether you have seen the controls help, and a short-lived note used to rejoin a match after a reload.

Clearing your browser storage removes all of it. For a guest account that also removes the account, permanently, because there is nothing on our side to reconnect it to.

What Retix does not collect

• Card numbers or billing addresses. Google Play and Apple process mobile payments. Retix receives store purchase proofs, product and transaction identifiers, and the resulting ad-removal entitlement so it can verify access.
• Precise location. We do not use GPS or any location API.
• Your microphone, camera, contacts, files or clipboard.
• Voice or text chat, because the game has neither.

Who it is shared with

Retix does not sell personal data and does not trade it.

• Google, for Google sign-in, web analytics, web and native advertising, per-impression AdMob revenue estimates, and Google Play purchase verification, as described above.
• AppsFlyer, for Android install attribution and in-app event measurement, as described above.
• Apple, for Apple sign-in, App Store payment processing and purchase verification on iOS.
• Amazon Web Services, which hosts the servers, and Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site as a content delivery network and security proxy. Both process data only to run the service.
• Law enforcement or a regulator, where a valid legal request requires it.

Some of these providers operate outside South Korea, so running the service involves transferring data internationally. Where the law requires a safeguard for that transfer, we rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses.

How long it is kept

Account deletion is available from the signed-in account menu. It revokes refresh sessions, soft-deletes and anonymizes the player row, and removes social and profile links. Financial ledgers, purchase receipts and fraud-prevention audit records remain only where needed for reconciliation, legal obligations or abuse prevention.

Technical logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded. Analytics data follows the retention period configured in Google Analytics.

Account deletion and your rights

Korea's Personal Information Protection Act gives you rights over your data. The GDPR and UK GDPR add rights for people in Europe or the United Kingdom. You can request a copy, correction or deletion. You can also object to some processing or withdraw consent.

To delete your Retix account, use Delete account in the signed-in account menu and confirm the irreversible action. If you cannot open the app, write to contact@retix.io from the address your account uses, or include your in-game display name. We will not charge you or make you explain why. If you are unhappy with the outcome you can complain to the Personal Information Protection Commission in Korea, or to your national supervisory authority in Europe.

Children

Retix is not directed at children and is not intended for them. Under Korean law a child under the age of 14 needs a legal guardian's consent before their personal data is handled, and we do not knowingly collect data from a child under 14 without it. If you believe a child has created an account, write to contact@retix.io and we will remove it.

Security

Traffic to and from retix.io is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is limited to what running the service requires. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected users and the relevant authority if a breach ever requires it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here before it takes effect.
